Completing Your Booking
Booking Karelda is a simple five-step process. Here is a guide to each step.
Step 1 — Select Your Dates
Use the availability calendar to select your check-in and check-out dates and enter the number of guests (adults, children, and infants). If you are bringing a pet, tick the Bringing a pet? checkbox. A pet fee will be added to your total.
Step 2 — Review Your Price Summary
Before continuing, review the full price breakdown:
- Nightly rate × number of nights
- Cleaning fee (fixed)
- Pet fee (if applicable)
- GST (10%, shown separately)
Your Total is shown at the bottom. This is the amount you will be charged at payment.
Step 3 — Your Details
If you are a returning guest, sign in to your account. New guests will need to register with their name, email address, phone number, and a password. Your account allows you to manage your booking, send messages, and download your confirmation PDF.
Step 4 — Special Requests
Add any special requests (e.g. rollaway bed, portacot, high chair). You must also acknowledge the house rules and terms and conditions before proceeding. If you are bringing pets, you will need to accept the pet policy.
Step 5 — Payment
You will be redirected to our secure Stripe payment page. Enter your credit or debit card details. Your payment is processed by Stripe — Karelda never stores your card information.
Once payment is successful, you will receive a booking confirmation email with your booking reference number and a PDF confirmation. Your booking will also appear under My Bookings.
For your security, Karelda is managed by a Licensed Real Estate Agent. We will never request payment to an overseas bank account. Your funds are held in a trust account until after your departure.
